Doubleheader at Memorial Coliseum Begins with Women's Basketball vs. NDSU

FORT WAYNE, Ind. - Purdue Fort Wayne women's basketball is set for a matchup against North Dakota State on Thursday, January 30, at the Allen County War Memorial Coliseum at 5 p.m. It will be the first of a true doubleheader with the men's team playing North Dakota.

North Dakota State is 5-14 on the year, but the Bison have won two of their last three. NDSU has wins over North Dakota and Denver in Summit League play, but the Bison are 1-7 away from Fargo. They are led by 13.2 points per game scorer Emily Dietz, who dropped 21 in NDSU's overtime win over Denver on January 26.

North Dakota State has a 19-10 advantage in the all-time series, dating back to 1996. The Mastodons took the last meeting between the two, coming in 66-46 fashion in Fort Wayne.
COMING HOME
Saturday's women's basketball game against North Dakota will be the first of two games to celebrate homecoming for Purdue Fort Wayne. The men's game against North Dakota State will begin at 7 p.m. in the Gates Sports Center.
FIRST RESPONDERS NIGHT
Purdue Fort Wayne's women's basketball game on February 4 against Western Illinois will be First Responders Night. First responders who show their badge will get a ticket for $5, and can purchase up to 10 tickets. Of each ticket, $1 will go to the Muscular Dystrophy Association. There will also be $2 faculty and staff tickets for that game. Tickets can be purchased in advance by visiting the box office or contacting Brittany McLaughlin at vervyncb@pfw.edu.
PUMP THE CLUTCH
Purdue Fort Wayne beat Omaha on Sunday, January 26 by storming back in the final minute. The 'Dons trailed by four, but scored 10 points in the final 60 seconds to defeat the Mavericks on their home floor. Hannah Hess banked in a 3-pointer with 11 seconds left, and Hannah Albrecht drained the game-winning free throws with 0.8 remaining on the clock.
NEARING 1,000
Senior Hannah Albrecht is nearing 1,000 points for her career, as she currently has 936 points in her four-year career. After spending one season at Division II Saint Joseph's College, the college closed in 2017, so Albrecht transferred to Purdue Fort Wayne to play the final three years of her career.
NO BUCKETS FOR YOU!
Purdue Fort Wayne held Oral Roberts without a field goal for the first 6:24 of their game on January 16. The Golden Eagles only made one free throw in this opening stretch that put the Mastodons up 16-1.
OTT CAREER-HIGH AGAIN... AND AGAIN...
Just a few days after a career-high 19 at Western Illinois on January 9, freshman Riley Ott beat that mark with 20 against South Dakota State on January 12. In the following game against Oral Roberts on January 16, she had another career-high with 22. Her season average is up to 10.7 points per game.
HESS WITH THE QUICK TRIGGER
In the Mastodons' road game at Western Illinois (Jan. 9), Hannah Hess had three 3-pointers in the span of 71 seconds of game time. She started the second quarter by knocking in a trey 20 seconds after the opening whistle. 58 seconds later, she hit another one, followed by a third just 13 seconds following the second. This led the way to nine of her career-high 19 points.
15 UNDER 50
The Mastodons have held 15 out of their 20 opponents to under 50 percent from the floor. The 'Dons held UIC to the lowest output of an opponent this season at 32.7 percent.
DROPPING DIMES
Hannah Albrecht had a career-high nine assists in the Mastodons' game at North Dakota on January 5. Her previous high was six, which she had set twice, but Albrecht passed that before halftime, as she had seven before the break. Her nine was the most for a player in the program since Sierra Bell had nine last season against IU Kokomo.
FREE THROWS ARE FREE
Purdue Fort Wayne is 24th in the country in free throw percentage, cashing in on 75.8 percent of its trips to the charity stripe. The Mastodons are second in the Summit League in that category, but only 1.1 percent behind Denver who leads the League.
