Mastodon Women's Hoops Will Play Western Illinois on Thursday

MACOMB, Ill. - Purdue Fort Wayne women's basketball will head into Macomb, Illinois for one last Summit League game at Western Illinois on Thursday, January 9. The game will tip at 8 p.m. ET.

The Mastodons scored 85 points against the Fighting Hawks with a 55.6 percent shooting night, which were both best against Division I opponents since scoring 91 points on 70.8 percent shooting against Eastern Illinois in 2017.

Hannah Albrecht had a career-high nine assists in the Mastodons' game at North Dakota. Her previous high was six, which she had set twice, but Albrecht passed that before halftime, as she had seven before the break. Her nine was the most since Sierra Bell had nine last season.

Purdue Fort Wayne is top-50 in the country in free throw percentage, cashing in on 74 percent of their trips to the charity stripe. The Mastodons are fourth in the Summit League in that category, but only 3.0 percent behind Denver who leads the League.
South Dakota's Low Output
RV/No. 22 South Dakota only scored 62 points against Purdue Fort Wayne on New Year's Day, which was the second-fewest points the Coyotes have scored in a game this season. They only scored less in their 73-60 loss to No. 5 South Carolina on December 22. The Coyotes scored 104 against Denver on January 5.
