Women's Soccer Host Youngstown State For Pink Out Night

FORT WAYNE, Ind. – The Purdue Fort Wayne women's soccer has its pink out night and takes on Horizon League foe Youngstown State on Thursday, Oct. 14 (7 p.m.) at the Hefner Soccer Complex.

The mark is tied for fifth in the Horizon League, and is tied for second in program history in goals scored in a season. Kelsey Gallagher leads the 'Dons in assists (five). That mark is tied for sixth in the Horizon League. Castaneda has started all 14 games in goal for the 'Dons. She is first in the conference in minutes played (1304:40), second in saves (82), second in saves per game (5.86), and tied for fourth in shutouts (three). The 'Dons have assisted on 13 of their 17 goals this season. As a team, the 'Dons are third in the conference in saves (84), fifth in goals scored (17), and fifth in shots (169).

The Penguins are coming off their biggest win of the season, defeating Northern Kentucky 1-0 on Sunday, Oct. 10. The Penguins win snapped the Norse's seven game win streak, which was the longest in the Horizon League. It was also the Norse's first loss in Horizon League play. Reagan LaVigna is tied for the team lead in assists with Lianna Van Sice (two) and is tied for the team lead in goals scored with Abriana Rondin and Marcella Sizer (two). As a team, Youngstown State leads the Horizon League in saves (97).
