Milwaukee Rallies For 2-1 Win Over Men’s Soccer

MILWAUKEE – The Purdue Fort Wayne men's soccer team entered the final day of the regular season in the running for a Horizon League Championship berth. However, the Mastodons' season came to an end on Wednesday (Nov. 3) following a 2-1 loss at Milwaukee.
The 'Dons got on the board in the 20th minute. Alejandro Lopez delivered a corner kick to the far post. Ayrton Redmore came running in and at the peak of his jump headed the cross into the goal. It was Redmore's first goal of the season.
Both teams finished with six shots on goal in the game. Milwaukee's final two of the contest ended up being the difference. In the 82nd minute Paolo Gratton snuck in a shot inside the far post off a free kick from Logan Farrington to level the match.
At 89:36 Farrington provided the game winner on a header off a cross. Abdu Regassa and Gabe Anguil assisted on the goal.
Six different 'Dons recorded shots on goal. Luke Benford had a team-high three shots.
Milwaukee finishes the regular season 8-7-1 (6-3-1 Horizon).
Purdue Fort Wayne ends the season 5-9-2 (3-6-1 Horizon League).
