FORT WAYNE, Ind. - The Purdue Fort Wayne women's golf team is set to compete in its second tournament of the 2021 season when they play in the Nevel Meade Collegiate, hosted by fellow Horizon League member Cleveland State.

Nevel Meade Golf Course
Patterned after the beautiful courses of Scotland, the rolling terrain, fresh water spring, century old trees along it's borders, deep bunkering, and large heather grass areas make Nevel Meade a picturesque place to challenge your golfing skills. Multiple tee boxes offer fun and challenges for all skill levels.
Mastodon Lineup
Laura Caetano, Anna Olafsdottir, Holly Anderson, Kennedy Brooker and Emma Schroeder will compete for the team score this week. The rest of the team, Linnzie Richner, Luiza Caetano and Arny Dagsdottir, will compete as individuals.
Horizon League Preview
There will be seven of the nine Horizon League schools at the Nevel Meage Collegiate, with only Green Bay and Detroit Mercy not coming to the tournament.
Top 10 Finish
Laura Caetano placed in the top-10 at the Benbow Invitational on March 9 with an 80-83-163. This was her first time in the top 10 in her career, despite the 81.50 18-hole average for the week being over five strokes higher than her average from last season.
Last Time Out
The Mastodons finished fifth at the Benbow Invitational. Laura Caetano finished 10th with an 80-83-163 for the first top-10 finish of her career.
Next Time Up
Purdue Fort Wayne will be competing in the Colonel Classic next, which is hosted by Eastern Kentucky at the University Club at Arlington in Richmond, Kentucky on March 29-30.
