Mastodon Women's Golf Heads to Carmel For Lady Jag Invite

FORT WAYNE, Ind. - The Purdue Fort Wayne women's golf team will return to the course on Monday, April 12 for their final time before the Horizon League Championship. This week, it will be the Lady Jag Invite in Carmel, Indiana.

You can also get instruction from our staff of PGA Golf Professionals.

Holly Anderson, Emma Schroeder, Laura Caetano, Anna Olafsdottir, Kennedy Brooker and Linnzie Richner will play for the team score. Arny Dagsdottir and Luiza Caetano will play as individuals.

The Mastodons broke the program's 54-hole record on March 23 at the Nevel Meade Collegiate with a team score of 911. Emma Schroeder and Holly Anderson both tied for fifth, helping Purdue Fort Wayne break the record that was set just last season in the fall of 2019. The previous record of 912 was set at the Golfweek Program Championship.
Top 10 Finishers
The Mastodons have a combined 11 top-10 finishes at tournaments through their careers. Holly Anderson has five, Emma Schroeder and Linnzie Richner have two each, and Laura Caetano and Kennedy Brooker have one each.
The Two Best
Holly Anderson and Emma Schroeder have the two best career averages of all Mastodon women's golfers in program history. Anderson holds the record at 77.50 strokes per round while Schroeder is second at 80.22. They both have 46 career rounds as Mastodons.
Last Time Out
The Mastodons competed at the Colonel Classic hosted by Eastern Kentucky, finishing eighth as a team. Holly Anderson set the program's new 36-hole record and tied the 18-hole record with a 76-69-145 on the first day. She finished the tournament in 14th place.
Next Time Up
The Mastodons' first shot at a Horizon League Championship will come on April 25-27, when the 'Dons travel to West Lafayette, Indiana to play the Ackerman-Allen Golf Course at Purdue University.
