Holly Anderson Takes Fourth at Lady Jag Invite

CARMEL, Ind. - Holly Anderson finished the Lady Jag Invite in fourth place to lead the Purdue Fort Wayne women's golf team on Tuesday, April 13. The 'Dons finished third out of the five-team field.
Anderson had two birdies and five pars on the front nine for an even 36, then followed it up with a birdie on 12 and six more pars. Anderson was pin-high on the 463-yard par-5 12th after two shots. She shot 77-73-150.
Laura Caetano shot 83-74-157, with birdies coming on the par-3 11th and par-5 17th to place 14th. The 159-yard tee shot on 11 set up for a putt of around 10 feet for the two on the scorecard. She birdied the 17th by cutting part of the dogleg right around a pond.
Kennedy Brooker improved upon her opening round of 82 with a 78 in round two for a 160 total. She finished in a tie for 17th. She had four straight pars to start her day, then rattled off four more to start the back nine.
Linnzie Richner and Emma Schroeder also competed for the team score, as they shot 78-83-161 for 19th and 78-84-162 for 23rd place, respectively. Richner birdied 11 with a two. Anna Olafsdottir shot 84-82-166 with a birdie two coming on the third hole.
Arny Dagsdottir (83-79-162, T-23rd) and Luiza Caetano (90-95-185, 39th) competed as individuals.
As a team, the 'Dons shot 315-306-621 for third. Butler was the team winner at 601. The 'Dons beat out Horizon League schools Cleveland State (633) and Northern Kentucky (657).
The 'Dons will compete for their first Horizon League Championship next, which they will tee off for on Sunday, April 15.
