Anderson Moves Up 11 Spots On #HLGolf Championship Leaderboard

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. - Thanks to a second round of 74 (+2), Holly Anderson of the Purdue Fort Wayne women's golf team moved up 11 spots on the second day of the Horizon League Championship (Tuesday, April 26).
Anderson's round started off with a bang, knocking in three straight birdies on the first three holes. She then finished the front with five straight pars, recording a 2-under 34 before making the turn. On the back, Anderson knocked in a birdie on 16. Sitting at 157 for the week, she is in 25th.
Just one position back of Anderson in 26th, Laura Caetano dropped in birdies on holes seven and 13. On the front, Caetano sunk a two on the 154-yard par-3. She got another birdie with a two on the 144-yard 13th. With one round to play, Caetano is at 159.
Kennedy Brooker shot an 80 for the second day in a row, placing her in 33rd with 18 to go. Brooker had eight pars in her round, coupled with a birdie on 16, like Anderson. Brooker's back-to-back 80's leave her in 33rd after 36 holes.
As the last score taken on Monday, Emma Schroeder carded a 78 to total 162. In her second round, she birdied the 380-yard par-4 ninth hole. On the back, she had six pars, totaling 10 for the day. Schroeder is in 36th.
Anna Olafsdottir turned in an 85 to total 162 for the week. She is in 38th after finding a birdie on seven and eight pars, five of which were on the back nine.
There are two teams tied at the top through 36 holes. IUPUI and Youngstown State are both at 598, with the Penguins having the top individual: Katlyn Shutt (140). As a team, the Mastodons are eighth at 634, just seven shots out of fifth.
The final round of the Horizon League Championship will be on Tuesday, April 27 with a tee time for the Mastodons at 7:45 a.m.
