Mastodons Hit The Road For Horizon League Game Against IUPUI

FORT WAYNE, Ind. – The Purdue Fort Wayne women's soccer team is set to hit the road for a Horizon League game against IUPUI on Sunday, Sept. 19 (1 p.m.) in Indianapolis, Ind.

Scouting The 'Dons
The 'Dons are coming off a 2-0 win against UIC in their Horizon League home opener on Thursday, Sept. 16. In Thursday's game, Morgan Reitano and Megan Sinnott scored goals in the second half, Rylee Vruggink was credited with an assist on Reitano's goal. The goals were Reitano's and Sinnott's second goals of the season, both are tied with Mackenzie Evans for the team lead. Over the past two games after halftime, the 'Dons have out-scored their opponents 4-0, and out-shot their opponents 26-6.
As a team, the Mastodons are third in the Horizon League in total shots (103) and third in shots per game (12.88). Individually Kelsey Gallagher is tied for fourth in the Horizon League in assists (three).

IUPUI enters Sunday's game with a 1-6-1 overall record. Its lone win came against Marian University back on Aug. 23 by a score of 4-0. The Jaguars also tied with Dayton by a score of 1-1 back on Sept. 5. As a team, IUPUI ranks third in the Horizon League in goals (11), third in assists (10) and fourth in shots (102). On offense, Elizabeth Bueckers leads the Jaguars in goals (five) shots (18) and tied for the team lead in shots on goal (10).
