Katke Cousins Golf Course
Oakland University's Golf and Learning Center located on the beautifully wooded campus of Oakland University is home to two world-class golf courses: The R&S Sharf Golf Course and the Katke-Cousins Golf Course. These championship courses have hosted numerous professional and amateur tournaments. At Oakland University's Golf & Learning Center, you will find a world-class practice facility with separate areas for full swing, short game and bunker play. It starts with a spacious driving range with over 30,000 square feet of bent grass hitting area and 28 top of the line hitting mats. Separate teaching tees provide a truly private instruction. Well-defined targets and landing areas help simulate course conditions. The five-acre short game area includes three greens, five bunkers and multiple turf conditions for working on every aspect of your chipping, pitching and bunker game. The putting green is maintained with the same consistent speeds of the actual golf course greens which allows the opportunity to work on all facets of your putting in the perfect setting and conditions.
Mastodon Lineup
Laura Caetano, Emma Schroeder, Anna Olafsdottir, Taylor Norman and Casey Bunner will compete for the Mastodons' team score. The rest of the team will compete as individuals: Sarah Brenneman, Kennedy Brooker, Luiza Caetano and Arny Dagsdottir.
One in a Brazilian
Laura Caetano, a native of Brasilia, Brazil, has the second-best career average in Mastodon history. She has an average of 77.90, which only trails Holly Anderson's 77.39. Anderson played for the mastodons from 2018-21. Caetano shot a 75 in the second round of the Cardinal Classic on September 20.
Last Time Out
The Mastodons finished seventh in the 16-team field at the Cardinal Classic. Laura Caetano and Taylor Norman tied for 27th after both shooting 232.
Next Time Up
Purdue Fort Wayne will take the course again on October 11-12 at the Rocket Classic in Port Clinton, Ohio.
