Men’s Basketball Earns No. 17 Spot in CollegeInsider.com Mid-Major Top 25

FORT WAYNE, Ind. – Purdue Fort Wayne has been picked for No. 17 in the CollegeInsider.com Men's Basketball Mid-Major Top 25 Preseason Poll.
The Mastodons earned 209 points in the poll and are the highest ranked Horizon League team to make the cut. Northern Kentucky was picked for No. 19. Mastodon opponents in 2022-23 to earn votes in the preseason poll include Missouri State, Oakland, Wright State, Youngstown State and SIUE. Winthrop, a possible Mastodon opponent in Cancun on Nov. 23, also earned votes.
The 'Dons return an experience core in 2022-23 after earning a share of the Horizon League regular season title last season. Purdue Fort Wayne opens the season at No. 23 Michigan on November 7 in a 6:30 p.m. tip on BTN. Purdue Fort Wayne's home opener is set for Nov. 12 against SIUE.
