Top Two in League Welcome Mastodon WVB This Weekend

FORT WAYNE, Ind. - The Purdue Fort Wayne women's volleyball team will visit the top two teams in the Horizon League this weekend with matches at Northern Kentucky (Friday, Nov. 4) and Wright State (Saturday, Nov. 5).

• Northern Kentucky is second in the league standings with an 11-3 record in Horizon League play. The Norse have gone 6-1 since playing the Mastodons in early October, with their only loss being a five-set loss at Wright State.
• Wright State is the best team in the Horizon League with a 22-3 and perfect 14-0 record in the league. The Raiders have gone to five sets three times in their last four matches.
Series Histories
• The Mastodons and Norse are dead even at 23 wins apiece in the all-time series. NKU has won the last five.
• Wright State leads the series 15-10 and has won the last six. Purdue Fort Wayne's last win came in 2012, the year that the Mastodons last made the NCAA Tournament.

Ramei Jackson had one of the best individual performances in Mastodon history against Robert Morris on October 29. She had 19 kills while hitting a scorching .708. This was the third-highest hitting percentage of any Mastodon with at least 20 attempts in a match.
Pocket Aces (Plus Some!)
Nicole Jones had six aces in Purdue Fort Wayne's four-set win over Robert Morris on October 29. It was the fourth-most in program history in four-set matches. It is the most aces in a match since Katie Crowe had six against Youngstown State in February of 2021.
Last Time Out
Purdue Fort Wayne dropped a 3-0 match at Milwaukee on Tuesday (Nov. 1). Jena Medearis had five blocks.
Coming Up
The Mastodons will play their final two matches of the regular season at home with Oakland and Cleveland State visiting the Gates Sports Center.
