Indoor Season Opens at Home on Friday and Saturday

FORT WAYNE, Ind. - The Purdue Fort Wayne track and field teams are set to open up their indoor seasons at home with the Mastodon Multi Invitational (Dec. 2) and the Mastodon Opener (Dec. 3). The Mastodons will also be celebrating their seniors at the Mastodon Opener for Senior Day.

Men's seniors: Weston Miser, Draven Thompson, Brent Donaldson, Logan Alexander, Cain Hohne, Connor West, John Jackman, Luke Beehler, Husam Saleh, Braxton Trittipo and Cory Waldron.
Women's seniors: Megan Sinnott, Makaila Groves, Brayden Langdon, Allyssa Hennessey, Sophia Buck, Miranda Haney, Kathy Potter, Michaela Sheets, Haley Pandazis, Lane Hawkins, Ninti Little, Ayana Garcia and Katie Clark.
Women's Team
The last time the women's squad was on the track was for the outdoor championships in 2022 when the 'Dons took fourth. In this Championship outing, Katie Clark pulled away with a first place finish in the 400-meter dash. The 'Dons were also fourth at last season's indoor championships. They were picked to finish fourth this season in the preseason poll. Sophia Buck, Dylan Kirkwood, Ramey Wilder, Dylan Konieczny and Marin Hart will compete on Friday.
Men's Team
The men's team is opening this season after a fifth place finish at the 2022 Horizon League Outdoor Championships. The 'Dons finished sixth in the the 2022 indoor championships but have been picked to finish fourth this season in the preseason poll. The men will not have anyone competing on Friday.
Light at the End of the Tunnel
The Mastodon men's and women's track and field teams are looking forward to hosting the 2023 Horizon League Indoor Championships February 25-26.
