FORT WAYNE, Ind. - The Purdue Fort Wayne women's basketball team will celebrate Senior Day on Saturday (Feb. 26) with a game against Milwaukee at 2 p.m.

Know Your Foe
The Panthers have gone 6-6 since meeting the Mastodons shortly after the turn of the year, beating just one team above them in the league standings: Green Bay. Milwaukee is 13-15 overall, and is led by Megan Walstad, who is averaging 15.0 points and 9.1 rebounds per contest. Four other Panthers are averaging over 7.0 points per game.

Milwaukee owns an 8-2 advantage in the all-time series history against the Mastodons and have won the last six meetings. The last win for the 'Dons came in 2014, which saw Rachel Rinehart score a game-high 26 points to lead the Mastodons to the win.

Valerie Clark is the honoree for Saturday's senior day celebration. From Greenwood, Indiana, Clark will be joined by her parents Rick and Angie, her brothers Ricky and Christian and her boyfriend Jon. She played for the Mastodons for three seasons after transferring from Eastern Kentucky. She has played in 40 games for the Mastodons and is a career 87.5 percent free throw shooter. She is also a three-time Horizon League Academic Honor Roll member.

Keeps Horizon League Championship Outlook
The Mastodons have clinched the No. 9 seed in the Keeps Horizon League Championship. There is a chance that the Mastodons could play Oakland or Robert Morris in the opening round, depending on Saturday's results. Whichever team finishes in eighth will host the Mastodons at 7 p.m. on March 1.

Let's Take a Look at the 3-Ball
The Mastodons are on pace to put their 3-point shooting statistics into the record books at Purdue Fort Wayne. If their averages hold, the Mastodons will make the fifth-most and take the second-most 3-pointers in a season in program history. Their 3-point percentage defense of 31.7 percent would also rank in the top-10 in program history.

In Horizon League games this season, Shayla Sellers is averaging 12.7 points (13th), 5.1 rebounds (20th), 2.4 assists (14th), 1.1 blocks (7th) and 1.4 steals (14th).

Ryin Ott is the leading scorer in the Horizon League among true freshman, averaging 8.6 points per game in all games. Her 7.3 points per game in Horizon League games only is second to Northern Kentucky's Khamari Mitchell-Steen's 7.58. Ott is a better rebounder than Mitchell-Steen, however, as Ott has a 3.3 per game average in league play compared to Mitchell-Steen's 2.8.

Free For a Reason
Purdue Fort Wayne's season free throw percentage of 80.8 percent is the third-best in the country. Only Iowa and Iowa State have better free throw shooting percentages. This is also the best free throw percentage in program history.

Purdue Fort Wayne fell 73-57 to Green Bay on Thursday (Feb. 24) in the Gates Sports Center. The 'Dons got 15 points from both Sylare Starks and Shayla Sellers.
