Kasey Lilly Moves Up 21 Spots in Second Round of Butler Spring Invitational

INDIANAPOLIS - Kasey Lilly of the Purdue Fort Wayne men's golf team moved up 21 spots on the leaderboard at the Butler Spring Invitational on Tuesday (March 29).
Lilly helped the Mastodons move up three spots, firing a 291 after an opening round of 297. The 'Dons' 588 topped Horizon League foe Green Bay by one shot.
Lilly's round was a 1-over 71, which came by way of two birdies and 14 pars. He got birdies on 11 and 17 and tied for 17th with his 145.
Tyler Green matched his first round with a 73 for a 146. He tied for 22nd, carding three birdies, including back-to-back on holes five and six. Green finished with the best par-3 scoring for the week, a 2.88 average.
Hunter Mefford moved up on day two, turning in a 76-72-148 for 34th. He also birdied hole five, then got a second on hole eight.
Brett Seward also matched his opening round of 75, finishing with 150 for 51st. He had 11 pars and a birdie on 12.
Burke Pitz tied for 66th with a 75-78-153. His last round of the week featured birdies on five, 12 and 17 to go with six pars.
Reece Compton (75-77-152, T-61st), Jadden Ousley (77-77-154, T-74th), Luke Miller (77-82, T-93), Corey Ryan (81-79- 160, T-95) competed as individuals.
The Mastodons will be back in action on April 10-11 at The Jewell, hosted by Northern Kentucky in Batavia, Ohio.
