Six Mastodons Named Purdue Fort Wayne Top 50 Students

FORT WAYNE, Ind. - The 2022 class of Purdue Fort Wayne's Top 50 list includes five current Mastodon student-athletes and one former student-athlete. These individuals are engaged on the Purdue Fort Wayne campus in their academics, athletics and other co-curricular activities, they also make significant impacts in their own communities.
Wilmer Hernandez (Men's Volleyball / Biology), Kirsten Macintyre (Women's Track & Field and Cross Country / Elementary Education), Nathan Mills (Men's Track & Field and Cross Country / Actuarial Science), Emma McMillan (Softball / Civil Engineering), and Daniele Pieve (Men's Soccer / Management, Marketing) were selected among Purdue Fort Wayne's best students.
Former Mastodon men's soccer student-athlete and current volunteer assistant coach Romain Lopez (M.B.A.) was also a recipient of the Top 50 honor.
Since 2016, Purdue University Fort Wayne has also recognized a larger group of Mastodons for their enthusiasm and success in making the most of the full student experience. Called simply the Top 50, these individuals not only have high GPAs, they also excel in university activities, events, and organizations, and participate in community engagement both here in Fort Wayne and in their hometowns.
