Kasey Lilly Goes 2-Under in Round Two of Championship

HOWEY-IN-THE-HILLS, Fla. - Kasey Lilly of the Purdue Fort Wayne men's golf team moved up 11 spots on the leaderboard at the Horizon League Championship on Monday (April 25) thanks to a second round of 70 (-2).
Lilly started his day with an eagle on the 474-yard opening hole and held steady the rest of the way. He had three birdies that came on holes three, seven and 14. He had seven pars on the back nine. He is in a tie for ninth wit his 75-70-145 opening two rounds.
Brett Seward is tied for 25th through 36 holes with a second round of 79. He recorded 11 pars en route to a 73-79-152. Hunter Mefford is one shot back of Seward after a 76-77-153. He had eight pars on the front nine and three on the back. He also had two birdies on the back on 14 and 16.
Tyler Green improved on day two, turning in a 76 to total 156. Green had a 1-under back nine, dropping three birdies on 10, 14 and 17. He is in a tie for 32nd. Burke Pitz rounded out the lineup with a 78-80-158. He had 11 pars on Monday.
With 18 holes to play, the Mastodons are in sixth place in the 10-team field with a 604. Wright State is leading the pack with a 567, led by first-place Tyler Goecke (137).
The third and final round of the Horizon League Championship will fire off at 7:30 a.m. on Tuesday (April 26).
