Men’s Soccer Earns Tie at Robert Morris

MOON TOWNSHIP, Pa. – Purdue Fort Wayne traveled to Robert Morris on Saturday (Sept. 24) for a Horizon League contest and returned home with a 0-0 tie.
The Colonials held a 12-7 edge in shots, and a 6-3 advantage in shots on goal. Logan Lee, Keith Larson and Moses Akimana each had a shot on goal for the Mastodons.
Danny Salazar made six saves for the 'Dons to record his first shutout of the season. Robert Morris scored seven combined goals in their first two league games.
Salazar, Romario Simpson, Lee, Marco Navarro, Michael Teller and Nathaniel Edwards played all 90 minutes in the contest.
The all-time series was already even at 1-1 entering the game, and now after Saturday's contest it stays that way at 1-1-1.
The Colonials are now 3-3-1 (2-0-1 Horizon). The 'Dons are 1-5-3 (0-1-2 Horizon). The Mastodons are back in action on Saturday (Oct. 1) at home against Cleveland State.
