INDIANAPOLIS - Purdue Fort Wayne's Erin Woodson was selected as the Horizon League's #HLWBB Freshman of the Week on Monday (Dec. 18).
In one of her more well-rounded games of her freshman campaign, Woodson scored seven points on 4-of-6 shooting at Mid-American Conference foe Western Michigan. She was also 1-for-2 from beyond the 3-point arc. The Richmond, Virginia native also had three rebounds.
Woodson is the second Mastodon to earn Horizon League Freshman of the Week honors. Renna Schwieterman picked up the award on December 4. Purdue Fort Wayne is the only school in the Horizon League with two different players earn the award this season.
Woodson and the Mastodons are back in action on Thursday (Dec. 21) when Aquinas comes to the Gates Sports Center for the Mastodons' annual Fitness Day game at 11 a.m.
