Nevel Meade is up Next For Mastodon Women's Golf

FORT WAYNE, Ind. - The Purdue Fort Wayne women's golf team will play in the Nevel Meade Invitational on Monday and Tuesday (March 20-21) in Prospect, Kentucky.

Patterned after the beautiful courses of Scotland, the rolling terrain, fresh water spring, century old trees along its borders, deep bunkering, and large heather grass areas make Nevel Meade a picturesque place to challenge your golfing skills. Multiple tee boxes offer fun and challenges for all skill levels.

Golfer of the Week!
Arny Dagsdottir was the first Mastodon to be named the Horizon League Golfer of the Week on February 16. She tied for eighth at the Utah Tech Cafe Zupas Trailblazer Invitational with a two-round score of 77-76-153. She was one of just six players in the field to record an eagle, and the only one in the first round. She finished the week with four birdies and 19 pars in addition to her eagle.
Two of Them!
Anna Olafsdottir joined fellow Icelander Arny Dagsdottir as a Horizon League Golfer of the Week on March 17. She took 18th at the Peggy Kirk Bell Invitational, shooting 80-76-156 in Orlando, Florida. She was the second Mastodon to earn Golfer of the Week honors since the 'Dons joined the Horizon League in 2020.
Ice Cold
Anna Olafsdottir is second in program history in career scoring average. She ranks just behind Holly Anderson with 79.27 strokes per round. She has a top-five and four top-10 finishes in her career, the most recent of which came at the Dayton Flyer Invitational on October 18, where she took ninth.

Purdue Fort Wayne had nearly all of its tournament records fall at the Cardinal Classic on September 20.
