Purdue Fort Wayne Men's Golf Moves Up Leaderboard in Round Three

GREENVILLE, N.C. - The Purdue Fort Wayne men's golf team moved up four spots between the first and final rounds of the ECU Intercollegiate on Tuesday (March 21), finishing the event in 12th place.
Kasey Lilly shot 76-74-74-224 to tie for 19th overall. He started his round with two pars and two birdies in his first six holes (10-15). He had an even front nine, turning in six pars and two birdies. He responded to a double-bogey on hole five with back-to-back birdies on six and seven.
A few shots back of Lilly, Burke Pitz finished the week with an 82-72-76-230. He had nothing worse than a bogey in his final round, writing down 12 pars and a birdie on his scorecard. He started the front nine with five bogey-free holes, including a birdie on hole two.
Hunter Mefford shot 82-73-77-232 to tie for 58th. He had a relatively clean front nine, dropping in eight par putts. He finished with 13 pars in his last round of the week.
Nick Holder finished the tournament with his best round of the week, shooting 80-79-76-235. He had an eight hole stretch of bogey-free golf, which included birdies on the 345-yard 15th and 509-yard second. He finished his round with five pars in a row. Jadden Ousley tied Holder with a 78-75-82-235 performance. Ousley's final round featured nine pars.
Jarred Bowser played in his first collegiate tournament this week, as he finished with an 80-82-83-245.
As a team, Purdue Fort Wayne shot 316-294-303-913. The Mastodons topped Horizon League foes Northern Kentucky (918) and Cleveland State (926).
Purdue Fort Wayne return to the Hoosier State to play next week. The Mastodons will compete in the Butler Spring Invitational on Monday and Tuesday (March 27-28).
