
Men's Cross Country Earns Perfect 1,000 in APR Data Released by NCAA

FORT WAYNE, Ind. – Five Mastodon programs posted perfect 1,000 single-year rates in the Academic Progress Rate data released by the NCAA on Monday (May 2).
APR provides a real-time look at a team's academic success each semester by tracking the academic progress of each student-athlete on scholarship. The APR accounts for eligibility, retention and graduation, which provides a measure of each team's academic performance. Multi-year APR scores released on Tuesday are based on the averages from the single year scores of the (2018-19, 2019-20, 2020-21, 2021-22). A perfect score is 1,000. This marks the second year of publicly reported APRs after a one-year COVID-19 hiatus.
Men's cross country, men's track and field, women's basketball, softball and women's soccer earned perfect 1,000 single-year scores for the 2021-22 academic year.
The multiyear scores released by the NCAA saw men's cross country earn a perfect 1,000. They are one of four men's cross country teams in the state to earn a perfect 1,000. It is men's cross country's first perfect 1,000 since 2009.
Women's soccer was third in the Horizon league and fourth in the state at 997.
The Mastodon men's basketball team was tied with Purdue for third of all men's basketball teams in Indiana with a score of 979.
