Dylan Kirkwood Named Field Athlete of the Week

INDIANAPOLIS - Purdue Fort Wayne's Dylan Kirkwood was named the Horizon League Women's Field Athlete of the Week, the league office announced on Tuesday (Jan. 30).
Kirkwood (Fort Wayne, Ind. / Northrop HS) scored 3,446 points in the pentathlon at the Doug Raymond Invitational to place fourth in a deep field of 16 competitors. Her score ranks first in the league and ninth on the Great Lakes Regional list. Kirkwood's best finish came in the 60 meter hurdles where her time of 9.04 ranked fifth in the 16 woman field. She finished sixth in the long jump (5.48m), eighth in high jump (1.55m) and the shot put (10.44m), and ninth in the 800 meters (2:36.45).
This is the first career honor for the graduate student Kirkwood. She was the 2023 Horizon League Outdoor Heptathlon Champion.
The 'Dons are at Trine's Mrs. G Invitational and Notre Dame's Meyo Invitational this weekend.
