‘Dons Suffer First League Loss at Hands of Wright State 106-98

FORT WAYNE, Ind. – Three Mastodons finished in double-digits and Purdue Fort Wayne shot 54.0 percent from the floor in a 106-98 loss to Wright State on Saturday (Jan. 6) afternoon at the Allen County War Memorial Coliseum.
The Raiders shot even better from the floor, finishing at 66.1 percent (39-of-59).
Quinton Morton-Robertson led the 'Dons with 26 points on 7-of-14 shooting. Jalen Jackson had a career-high 24 points while Rasheed Bello added 23 points.
The Raiders led 51-40 at the break and took a lead as large as 23 in the second with 8:34 left at 85-62. The 'Dons used a 10-0 run to make it an 11-point game with 2:30 left at 95-84. Corey Hadnot II had seven of the 10 points. An 8-0 run cut the Wright State lead to 101-94 with just over a minute left. In the end, however, the Mastodon rally fell short.
Tanner Holden led the Raiders with 26 points.
Hadnot (11) and Anthony Roberts (10) also hit double-digits.
The 'Dons finished 8-of-23 (34.8 percent) from three.
Wright State improves to 8-8 (3-2 Horizon League). The 'Dons fall to 13-3 (4-1 Horizon League). The 'Dons are at Youngstown State on Wednesday.
