FORT WAYNE, Ind. - The Purdue Fort Wayne cross country teams will travel to the Joe Piane Invitational on Friday (Oct. 4).

Men's Preview: Purdue Fort Wayne is coming off a first place finish and complete sweep in the Mastodon Alumni Open home meet. Harrison Niswander broke the Mastodon Cross Country Course 8K record and took first place in the meet with a time of 24:59.7. Austin Hall was right behind Niswander with a time of 25:30.1, after breaking the program's 8K record at the Phoenix Open. Sam Dunnett (25:33.3) finished third in his first collegiate home meet. Brothers Nicholas Mills (25:37.3) and Nathan Mills (25:48.6) filled out the Mastodon top-five and placed fourth and fifth in the meet.

Women's Preview: Purdue Fort Wayne is coming off a home victory at the Mastodon Alumni Open. Riley Tate won the meet with a time of 22:10.2. Three Mastodons followed Tate across the finish line, Ava Genovese (22:25.4) being the first of those. Lydia Carrell (22:33.6) and Haylee Hile (22:48.1) placed third and fourth in the meet for the 'Dons. Faith Allen (22:58.1) earned sixth and filled out the Purdue Fort Wayne top-five.
