ANN ARBOR, Mich. – Jalen Jackson scored 27 points but the Purdue Fort Wayne men's basketball team fell at No 24 Michigan 89-58 on Sunday (Dec. 22).
Michigan raced to the lead thanks to a 9-of-12 performance from beyond the arc in the first half. They finished the game shooting 62.7 percent (27-of-59) overall from the floor. Tre Donaldson led Michigan with 16 points.
Jackson scored his 27 points on 10-of-17 shooting. He went 6-of-7 from the line. His 27 points come after 31 points against another Big Ten foe Penn State earlier this year.
The 'Dons finished at 21-of-65 (32.3 percent). Purdue Fort Wayne had only six turnovers in the game.
The 'Dons fall to 9-5. Michigan improves to 9-3. The 'Dons are back in action on Dec. 29 at Green Bay in league play.
