Know Your Foe
Saint Louis is 19-18 and finished the Atlantic 10 season with a 9-9 record. SLU lost to Rhode Island in the A-10 semifinal game prior to the WNIT. The Billikens topped Central Arkansas 66-61 and Northern Iowa 68-64 to earn their trip to the Super 16. In the two common opponents as the Mastodons this year, the Billikens lost at Southern Illinois 75-67 and Green Bay 87-54. The 'Dons beat SIU 70-64, but lost to Green Bay three times. Kyla McMakin and Peyton Kennedy both average over 16 points per game.
The Series
This is the first meeting between the Mastodons and Billikens.
Home Sweet Home
The Mastodons have matched the program record for home wins in a season with 12. They have a chance to set a new record when Saint Louis visits the Gates Sports Center.
Home Sweet Away From Home
The Mastodons have won 11 games away from home this season, which is a program record. With one more true road win, it would also tie the program record for road wins.
March-esano Madness
Purdue Fort Wayne head coach Maria Marchesano has a career head coaching record of 18-16 in the month of March. The Mastodons are 5-3 under Marchesano in March, including 4-1 this season.
Winning Ways
If the Mastodons get one more win, it will be the most wins in a season in program history. The 'Dons' win at Cincinnati tied the all-time record.
Big 12 Buckets
The Mastodons' win over Cincinnati was the first victory over a Big 12 team in program history.
Shooters Shoot
Shayla Sellers' 40.4 3-point shooting percentage ranks 28th in the country.
Playoff Aud
Audra Emmerson has a career scoring average of 10.9 points per game in eight postseason games, including Horizon League tournaments and WNIT.
Free For a Reason
Amellia Bromenschenkel has made her last 20 free throws. She went 10-for-10 from the free throw line against Eastern Kentucky, becoming the first Mastodon to go 10-for-10 or better without a miss since 2016. She was also 6-for-6 at Cincinnati.
Recency Bias
Over the last 11 games, Shayla Sellers is shooting 50.7 percent (38-of-75) from 3-point range.
Last Time Out
Purdue Fort Wayne dominated Cincinnati on Sunday (March 24) in an 84-58 victory. The 'Dons led by as many as 30 thanks to all five starters scoring in double-figures.
Coming Up
With a win, Purdue Fort Wayne would move on to play the winner of Wisconsin and Illinois State, which is on Thursday (March 28), so the 'Dons will know their opponent prior to the start of their game with Saint Louis. The location, date and time for that contest are all to be determined.
The first 200 students will get in free and receive a free popcorn.
