Mastodons Tie For 10th at Daytona Beach Intercollegiate

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. - The Purdue Fort Wayne men's golf team tied with Villanova for 10th at the Daytona Beach Intercollegiate on Tuesday (March 5).
The Mastodons were led by Kasey Lilly, who shot a 73 in his final round. He had birdies on nine and 14 to pair with 13 pars. He finished in a tie for 19th with a three-round total of 224.
Hunter Mefford was three strokes behind Lilly with a 76. He had a birdie on the 531-yard 14th. He also had a stretch of five pars in a row from holes 2-8. He tied for 41st with a total of 230.
AJ Agnew finished in a tie for 45th with a 232. He had a birdie on hole two in round three, which played as the second-toughest. Nick Holder shot 240 and took 70th. He birdied holes six and eight in round three en route to a 78.
Burke Pitz rounded out the lineup, finishing with a 242 to tie for 73rd. He had three birdies on Tuesday, coming on holes two, eight and 11.
Brock Reschly and Nick Bellush played as individuals. Reschly finished as the Mastodons' second best, shooting 227 to tie for 25th. Bellush turned in a 235 to tie for 57th.
Purdue Fort Wayne is back in action on Friday (March 8) at the Sacred Heart Invitational.
