Men's Volleyball Season Comes to a Close

ST. CHARLES, Mo. - The No. 19 Purdue Fort Wayne men's volleyball team saw its season come to an end at the hands of No. 20 Lindenwood in the quarterfinal round of the MIVA Tournament. Lindenwood topped the Mastodons 3-0 (25-22, 25-15, 25-17).
Several 'Dons saw their careers wrap up, including Jon Diedrich, who finished with 1,478 kills in his career. He passed Pelegrin Vargas with his seven kills on Saturday (April 13) to move into seventh place on the program's all-time kill list.
While the 'Dons hit .314 as a team, Lindenwood was even better. The Lions hit .540.
Mark Frazier led the way for Purdue Fort Wayne with 12 kills on an efficient .346 hitting.
The opening set was back and forth all the way to a 21-all stymie before Lindenwood scored four of the last five of the set. From there, Lindenwood's offense took over, seeing the Lions put together a 10-1 run in the second set and a 6-1 run early in the third.
Purdue Fort Wayne falls to 14-12 to end 2024. Lindenwood improves to 15-11 and will play top-seeded Ball State in the MIVA semifinal.
