Masty Awards Celebrate 2023-24 Campaign

FORT WAYNE, Ind. – On Wednesday (April 17) evening at the Walb International Ballroom, Purdue Fort Wayne Mastodon student-athletes and program contributors were celebrated during the annual Masty Awards. The event was hosted by WANE TV's Josh Ayen with Mastodon student-athletes and staff presenting several awards.

The event provided recognition for the achievements – both athletically and academically – of Purdue Fort Wayne's sports teams during the 2023-24 academic year. The event also recognized each team's seniors. Inductees into Chi Alpha Sigma were also recognized. Awards presented include:

Heart of a Don Award – Davey Singer (men's volleyball) and Bryce Walker (men's volleyball)
Male Athlete of the Year – Harrison Niswander (men's track and field)
Female Athlete of the Year – Panna Ratkai (women's volleyball) and Amellia Bromenschenkel (women's basketball)
Senior Male Athlete of the Year – Kasey Lilly (men's golf) and John Deidrich (men's volleyball)
Senior Female Athlete of the Year – Sam Castaneda (women's soccer) and Shayla Sellers (women's basketball)
Freshman Male Athlete of the Year – Justin Osterhouse (baseball)
Freshman Female Athlete of the Year – Panna Ratkai (women's volleyball)
David R. Skelton Award – Kevin Fee (baseball)
Fan of the Year - Chris Lambert and Holly Rust
Tony Laux Volunteer of the Year - Pat Murphy
Ian and Mimi Rolland Award - Harrison Niswander (men's cross country / track and field) and Panna Ratkai (women's volleyball)
Standing Ovation Award - W. Paul and Carolyn Wolf and Jim Casabura
Strength and Conditioning Athletes of the Year Award – Brody Fine (Baseball) and Alyson Quinlan (softball)
Best Facial Expression – Jacob Walker (baseball)
Best Hypeman – Zyler Johnson (men's track and field)

Academic Excellence Award – Anna Olafsdottir (women's golf) and Jacob Deakyne (men's golf)
