Brock Reschly Leads Mastodon Golf at Hoosier Collegiate

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - Brock Reschly shot a team-best 75 in the opening round of the Hoosier Collegiate on Saturday (April 6).
The freshman Reschly got a birdie on his second hole, the 535-yard 13th. He had four more pars over his next five holes before a birdie to start the front nine. He bookended the front with birdies to shoot 2-over on each nine.
Kasey Lilly was one shot back of Reschly with an opening round of 76. He was without a bogey in his first six holes, which included a birdie on the aforementioned 13th hole. He also birdied hole one on his time around.
Burke Pitz shot 78 in round one, turning in 12 pars and a birdie on the 450-yard par-4 14th. Nick Holder was one behind Pitz in round one, spattering six pars throughout the back nine. He also birdied hole one when it was his turn to make the turn.
Hunter Mefford shot an 83 in round one with nine pars, which included a stretch of five from 2-6.
As a team, the Mastodons shot 308 in round one, which was good for 13th in the tough field.
The second round was cut short due to darkness and will completed along with the third round on Sunday (April 7).
