Mastodon Men Take Fourth at #HLTF Outdoors

ROCHESTER HILLS, Mich. - The Mastodon men's track and field team finished in fourth place with 100 points at the 2024 Horizon League Outdoor Championships on Sunday (May 5). It is the men's most points ever at an outdoor championships event.
In the hammer, Asher Walden took second with a throw of 54.24 meters. Zyler Johnson earned points for the 'Dons in sixth (49.25 meters)
Freshman Jonas Morris had a time of 47.70 in the 400 meters for a school record and a third place performance. Brent Donaldson was sixth (48.09)
A pair of 'Dons scored in the 100 meters. Isaiah Smith took fourth (10.59) while Ezra Lewellen was eighth (11.00). Smith returned later to take fifth in the 200 meters (21.94). Brent Donaldson (22.31) was seventh and Lewellen followed in eighth in the event.
Austin Hall recorded a school-record 14:27.97 to take fourth in the 5000 meters.
The relay squad of Smith, Donaldson, Kobe Milledge and Morris picked up a time of 3:16.68 to place third in the 4x400 relay to close out the day.
Youngstown State (294) won the team title.
