FORT WAYNE, Ind. - The Purdue Fort Wayne women's golf team is back in action on Monday-Tuesday (Sept. 30-Oct. 1) when they visit Port Clinton, Ohio to play in Toledo's Rocket Classic.

About the Course
Golf traditions at Catawba Island Club go back to the 1920s, when there was a nine-hole golf course associated with the Catawba Cliffs Community and the Catawba Cliffs Beach Club. Today, CIC offers an Arthur Hills designed golf course that is kept in pristine condition. Being one of the only golf courses along the shores of Lake Erie, CIC has been a popular destination for families and golfers for generations. The design provides an interesting and varied test that has delighted members and challenged us open hopefuls.

Hunar Mittal, Natalie Papa, Olivia Jang, Louise Ekesall and Lillian Gottman will compete for the team score. Lara Dommach will play as an individual.
Chasing History
Olivia Jang met the minimum number of rounds to qualify for career marks at Youngstown State's event. She owns the best career scoring average in program history with 76.88. Hunar Mittal is fifth on the career list with a 78.61 average and is sixth with five top-10 finishes in her career.
Last Time Out
Purdue Fort Wayne finished second at Youngstown State's Roseann Schwartz Invitational, matching the program's 36-hole record in the process.
