Austin Hall Sets 8K Program Record at Phoenix Open

GREEN BAY, Wis. - Austin Hall set a Purdue Fort Wayne men's cross country program record in the 8K on Friday (Sept. 6) at the Phoenix Open
Hall, a Columbia City, Ind. native, placed third overall with a time of 24:43.9, setting a personal record and program record. Harrison Niswander finished fourth and set his own personal best with a time of 24:50.8, placing him third in program history by besting his Horizon League Championship time by five seconds.
Nicholas Mills (25:28.8) was the next Mastodon to cross the finish line, placing 18th. Sam Dunnett (25:31.9) finished 21st in his collegiate debut.
Andrew Arnos set a new personal best with a time of 27:11.8, finishing 90th.
Along with Dunnett, five other Mastodons had their collegiate debut. Marcus Ridge finished 46th (26:17.5), Boden Genovese took 48th (26:19.8), Tyler Godwin was 70th (26:48.6), Josh Roper finished 142nd (29:49.6) and Kye Milledge finished 145th (30:09.2).
Nathan Mills earned 33rd (25:59.2), Kobe Milledge finished 40th (26:10.1), Colten Gasson finished 77th (27:00.6), Jackson Marshall finished 106th (27:39.4), Colin Gasson finished 114th (27:47.9) and Jack Mills finished 125th (28:25.6).
Purdue Fort Wayne finished with 77 points, trailing Stevens Point (77), Green Bay (70) and Michigan Tech (44). Green Bay's Noah Jahnke won the meet (24:37.7), while his teammate Riley Siltman finished second (24:42.4). Milwaukee finished in fifth with 104 points.
The 'Dons will run next at the Mastodon Alumni Open (Sept. 20) at 6 p.m., Purdue Fort Wayne's only home meet of the season.
