
Jalen Jackson Earns Second Straight #HLMBB Player of the Week

INDIANAPOLIS – Fresh off a career-high 38 points at IU Indianapolis, Purdue Fort Wayne junior Jalen Jackson was named the Horizon League Men's Basketball Player of the Week on Monday (Jan. 27).
Jackson put together a line of 38 points, seven rebounds, six assists and two steals on Saturday (Jan. 25) against the Jaguars. He went 14-of-18 from the free throw line, tying for the second most free throws in a game in Division I program history. His 38 points tied for third in DI program history for points in a game. It is also the most points by a Horizon League player this year.
Jackson averaged 27.5 points, 5.0 rebounds, 4.0 assists and one steal in two games last week. He shot 62.1 percent from the floor and 60.0 percent from three while finishing at 16-of-20 from the charity stripe.
This is the second consecutive Horizon League Player of the Week honor for Jackson. This is the fourth league weekly honor for the 'Dons this season. Rasheed Bello has the other two.
The Mastodons welcome Cleveland State to town on Thursday (Jan. 30). The game will air live on ESPNU and tip at 9 p.m. Kids in grades 12th and under are free. The 'Dons are 9-0 at home this season.
