
WSOC Secures Senior Day Victory

Prior to the contest Lauren Klusek, Chloe Mariotti, Grace Dunham and Lauryn Brucchieri were honored for their Mastodon careers.
The 'Dons fed off the senior day energy, scoring a goal in the 15th minute. Scarlett Webster fed Cyann Retzloff a pass over the middle that the California native put away for the 1-0 lead.

Purdue Fort Wayne continued their aggressive pursuit, taking three more shots on goal in the half. Webster, Madelyn Bravata and Bella Masse took those attempts.
Detroit Mercy claimed the momentum after half, taking three shots on goal of their own in the first 15 minutes.
The Mastodons quickly retaliated with Morgan Gallagher's 58th minute shot on goal. The push led to the 'Dons second goal of the contest, coming from the freshman Masse finishing a cross by Retzloff in the 61st minute.

Sabrina Sokol looked to extend the Purdue Fort Wayne, yet again, taking an attempt in the 72nd minute. The Titans matched with their own shot on goal attempt minutes later.
Hailey Hoskins took the Mastodons' final shot at the net in the contest, coming in the 78th. Detroit Mercy managed to claw back in the game late, scoring a goal of their own in the 84th.
Purdue Fort Wayne moves to 2-14-1, 1-8-0 in Horizon League play. Detroit Mercy falls to 2-13-2, 0-7-2 in the HL.
The Mastodons will play their final match of the season at IU Indy on Wednesday (Oct. 29).
