Coleman’s Career-Best Highlights Day One of The Benbow

INDIANAPOLIS – Freshman Cody Coleman led the Purdue Fort Wayne men's golf team on Monday (March 31) during the first day of the Don Benbow Butler Spring Invitational hosted by Butler University.
Coleman is tied for 14th overall in the field of 101 golfers thanks to a career-best and bogey-free 67 in round one and a 74 in round two for a 141 total. His first round had featured 15 pars and three birdies on holes three, nine and 12.
Brock Reschly had a 72 in both rounds, with three birdies in the morning and one in the afternoon. He is tied for 30th. Nick Bellush is tied for 48th (72-74-146), turning in birdies on 12 and 17 in round one and hole seven in round two. Nick Holder shot a 75-76-151. AJ Agnew finished the first round with a 76-78-154, finding four birdies in round one and one more in the second.
Three Mastodons played as individuals. Julian Dugan shot a pair of 75s. Jarred Bowser shot a 77 in round one and a 76 in round two for a 153 total. Landon Smith carded a 78 in both rounds.
As a team the Mastodons are in 10th place (289-294-583). Butler is in first (554). The third and final round is set for Tuesday (April 1).
