Boden Genovese Breaks School Record at Mount Union

ALLIANCE, Ohio - The Purdue Fort Wayne track and field program traveled to Mount Union's Last Chance Meet on Thursday (May 15).
Boden Genovese and Sam Dunnett were seen in the 800 meters at the meet. Genovese broke the school record for the third time in the last six days, finishing with a time of 1:52.69 for third. Dunnett placed fifth with a 1:53.13.
Senior Jordan Yanders ran in the 100 meter hurdles, winning the event in 13.70.
Josiah Bird was the lone thrower to make the trip, competing in the discus throw. The freshman threw a mark of 49.42 meters for fourth.
The Mastodons will be seen next at the NCAA East First Round (May 28-31) in Jacksonville, Florida. Yanders' 100 meter hurdles time of 13.48, set at Louisville's Jim Freeman / Clark Wood Open (April 25), currently ranks 48th in the East Region.
