Jordan Imes Claims First #HLWSOC Defensive Player of the Week

INDIANAPOLIS - Purdue Fort Wayne women's soccer team's goalkeeper Jordan Imes was named the Horizon League's Defensive Player of the Week, the league announced on Monday (Aug. 18).
The Indiana native played all 90 minutes in the draw against Akron on Thursday (Aug. 14), claiming her first shutout of the season. The graduate student finished the match with seven saves in the match. After one week of the season, Imes is the only keeper in the Horizon League to hold opponents scoreless.
This is Imes' first Defensive Player of the Week award of her career.
The keeper looks to build off an impressive redshirt senior season, where she finished with six shuouts that sits as second-most in program history. With her shutout of Akron, Imes moved her career clean sheet total to seven, fourth-most for a career in program history.
The 'Dons play next at Chicago State on Wednesday (Aug. 20).
