FORT WAYNE, Ind. - The Purdue Fort Wayne women's golf team opens the 2025-26 season this weekend at the Bucknell Invitational (Sept. 5-7).

Yardage: 5,939 yards
Par: 70
Format: Play 5, take 4 - 54 holes

About the Course
The Bucknell Golf Club, which opened in 1930, is located on the west side of Route 15, adjacent to the West Fields complex on Smoketown Road. The BGC is the home of the Bucknell men's and women's golf teams. Both squads utilize the course daily and host at least one tournament per season.

Mastodon Lineup
Olivia Jang, Hunar Mittal, Emily Gottman, Lillian Gottman and Louise Ekesall will compete for the team score. Natalie Papa will play as an individual.
Simply The Best
Olivia Jang owns the best career scoring average in program history with an 18-hole average of 76.61. She also has the best winning percentage of any Mastodon with a 79.5 percent clip.
A First!
Olivia Jang finished as the runner-up of the 2025 Horizon League Championship, becoming the first Mastodon to take second at a league championship in program history.
Family Business
Lillian Gottman spent 2024-25 with Purdue Fort Wayne after transferring from Illinois Springfield. Her sister, Emily Gottman, is new to the squad this season, choosing to spend her first year of college playing with her sister at Purdue Fort Wayne.
Golfer of the Week x3
Purdue Fort Wayne had three different players named Horizon League Golfer of the Week last season. Olivia Jang earned the award on February 20, then Lillian Gottman and Hunar Mittal earned back-to-back awards on March 13 and 20. Purdue Fort Wayne was the only school with multiple Golfer of the Week award winners.
Last Season Recap
The Mastodons won two events in the 2024-25 season: the Red Flash Invitational in October and the Indiana State Invitational in April. It was the second year in a row they won the Indiana State Invitational. Purdue Fort Wayne finished third at the Horizon League Championship, the best finish in program history.
Coming Up
Purdue Fort Wayne will travel to Boardman, Ohio to play in Youngstown State's Roseann Schwartz Invitational (Sept. 22-23).
