Mastodons Never Trail in 100-82 Win Over Milwaukee

FORT WAYNE, Ind. - Mikale Stevenson recorded a career-high 34 points in Purdue Fort Wayne's 100-82 Horizon League men's basketball win over Milwaukee on Sunday (Jan. 18) afternoon at the Gates Sports Center.
Stevenson finished with a line of 12-of-19, including 6-of-10 from three, with six assists, two steals and no turnovers. He wasn't the only Mastodon finding success on Sunday. DeAndre Craig Jr. totaled 20 points with eight rebounds, five assists and three steals. Corey Hadnot II added 19 points and tied a career high with six assists. Darius Duffy had a Mastodon career-best 13 points. Deangelo Elisee totaled a career-high eight points.
The Mastodons had only seven turnovers in the contest. The 'Dons shot 56.3 percent (36-of-64) from the floor, including 13-of-23 from three. Purdue Fort Wayne shot 8-of-12 in the first half to open a 48-40 lead at the break. The 'Dons out-scored the Panthers by five points in the first five minutes of the second half and cruised from there.
Amar Augillard had a game-high 35 points for the Panthers, shooting 11-of-20.
It is the first Horizon League game in program history with 100 points in regulation for the Mastodons. The last time the Mastodons had 100 points in regulation in a league game was a 102-71 victory over South Dakota on Jan. 30, 2019. The 'Dons did it twice that month, notching 104 vs. South Dakota State on Jan. 3, 2019.
The Mastodons have won four consecutive games. Purdue Fort Wayne improves to 12-8 (6-3 Horizon League). Milwaukee falls to 8-12 (4-5 Horizon League). The Mastodons are at Detroit Mercy on Wednesday (Jan. 21) in league play.
