
Mikale Stevenson Named #HLMBB Player of the Week

INDIANAPOLIS – Purdue Fort Wayne's Mikale Stevenson is the Horizon League Men's Basketball Player of the Week, the league announced on Monday (Jan. 19).
Stevenson had a career-high 34 points on 12-of-19 shooting, including 6-of-10 from three. He helped the Mastodons to a 100-82 victory over Milwaukee on Sunday (Jan. 18), the Mastodons' first 100-point game against a league opponent in a regulation game since 2019.
Stevenson added six assists, two steals and two rebounds with no turnovers to his stat line for the day.
The honor is Stevenson's first career Horizon League Player of the Week honor. He is the second Mastodon to be honored by the league this season. Corey Hadnot II has three weekly awards from the league.
The Mastodons are 12-8 (6-3 Horizon League) and have won four straight games. Purdue Fort Wayne is next in action on Wednesday (Jan. 21) at Detroit Mercy.
