Mastodons Fall 64-56 to Green Bay in #HLMBB First Round

GREEN BAY, Wis. – Purdue Fort Wayne whittled a 15-point deficit to two points with two minutes remaining, but ultimately fell to Green Bay 64-56 in the 2026 Barbasol Horizon League Men's Basketball Championship at the Kress Center on Tuesday (March 3) evening.
Deangelo Elisee finished with a career-high 14 points with a 7-of-10 performance from the floor. Corey Hadnot II added 15 points with five rebounds and five assists. DeAndre Craig Jr. totaled 12 points.
Green Bay took a 34-22 lead to half as the Mastodons shot 32.1 percent in the opening 20 minutes.
The 'Dons opened the second half on a 13-5 run to make it a 39-35 score with 13:15 on the clock. It was a one-possession game after a Mikale Stevenson three and a Hadnot jumper at 46-43 with 9:03 left.
The teams then traded runs, Green Bay scored eight straight and the 'Dons followed with nine, to make it a 54-52 score at the 2:02 mark. It was as close as the Mastodons would get down the stretch.
Marcus Hall led with a game-high 19 points for the Phoenix.
Purdue Fort Wayne finished the game shooting 40.4 percent (23-of-57). The Phoenix shot 46.8 percent (22-of-47).
Green Bay improves to 18-14. The 'Dons fall to 17-15.
