Mastodons Receive Bye Through WNIT First Round

FORT WAYNE, Ind. - Purdue Fort Wayne women's basketball has received a bye through the first round of the Women's National Invitation Tournament, the WNIT announced on Monday (March 16).

In the window of March 22-24, Purdue Fort Wayne will play the winner of South Alabama and Alcorn, which play on Saturday (March 21) at 4 p.m. It will be the first-ever meeting between the Mastodons and either of those programs.
The 2025-26 Mastodons have a 20-13 record, their seventh 20-win season in program history, fourth as a member of Division I, and third in a row. This is the Mastodons' third trip in as many seasons to the Postseason WNIT.
