Brevin Miller Leads HL Javelin Throw

MUNCIE, Ind. & Oxford, Miss. - The Purdue Fort Wayne men's track and field program completed their first day of competition at Ball State's We Fly Challenge and the Ole Miss Joe Walker Invite on Friday (April 10).
Brevin Miller highlighted the day with a Horizon League leading 56.86 meter javelin throw mark at the Joe Walker Invite. Alex Evans also competed in the event, throwing a 45.52 meter javelin throw. His toss would sit at third in the league, but his own mark already owns third.
Noah Morris, the lone Mastodon runner, ran a 21.45 200 meter dash at Ole Miss. The time ranks second in the HL.
Luca Merita also placed his name on the Horizon League javelin throw rankings, throwing a 45.33 meter mark at Ball State. His toss ranks fourth in the league.
Merita also threw a personal record 39.89 meter discus throw mark at the We Fly Challenge.
Josiah Bird (DT, SP), Noah Morris (100m) and Max Parciak (SP) will all compete to finish out the meets tomorrow.
