
Logan Muir Named First Team All-MIVA

FORT WAYNE, Ind. - Purdue Fort Wayne men's volleyball's Logan Muir was voted to the 2026 All-Midwestern Intercollegiate Volleyball Association First Team, the league announced on Thursday (April 16).
This is Muir's first time on the All-MIVA First Team. Last season, as a sophomore, he was a second team pick.
Muir led the MIVA in points per set during association play this season, resting at 4.73. He finished ninth in the nation in the statistical category, averaging 4.51 over the entire season. The junior had a career-high 37.5 points in the five-set victory against No. 12 McKendree (Feb. 13). He also notched 24.5 against Daemen (Feb. 8), 20 at Northern Kentucky (Feb. 19) and 19 at Queens (April 2), all wins in straight sets.
The California native also led the MIVA in service aces per set, with .60 a frame, and tied the highest for total aces (28) during the MIVA season. He averaged .51 over the course of the season, the 10th best mark in the nation and fourth-best in program history. The Preseason All-MIVA selection notched three service aces against Northern Kentucky (Feb. 19) and at Queens (April 2) for three-set sweeps. He totaled a season-high four aces in five-set matches against Daemen (Feb. 8), No. 12 McKendree (Feb. 13) and No. 11 Lindenwood (March 28).
The junior averaged 3.74 kills per set during MIVA play, the second-best in the association. He finished the season at a 3.62 mark for 22nd highest in the nation. Muir hit a career-high 32 kills in a five-set victory over No. 12 McKendree (Feb. 13). He finished over four kills per set with 28 against Missouri S&T (Jan. 10), 13 against Menlo (Jan. 16), 16 at Northern Kentucky (Feb. 19), 14 against No. 9 Ball State (March 21) and 21 at No. 11 Lindenwood (March 28).
Jon Diedrich and Mark Frazier were the last Purdue Fort Wayne First Team All-MIVA selections, chosen in 2024.
Muir and the No. 7 seeded Mastodons will travel to No. 2 seeded Loyola Chicago for a MIVA quarterfinal match on Saturday (April 18) at 7 p.m. ET.
