Purdue Fort Wayne WVB Gears Up For Regular Season at Bellarmine Classic

FORT WAYNE, Ind. - The Purdue Fort Wayne women's volleyball regular season opens this weekend at the Bellarmine Classic on Friday-Saturday (Aug. 28-29). The Mastodons will play Rutgers, Evansville and Bellarmine.

• Rutgers was 12-20 a year ago with a 3-17 mark in the Big Ten. The Scarlet Knights' top hitter, Aspen Maxwell, is back for her junior campaign after averaging 3.38 kills per set a year ago. Setter Lily Bolen is also back to pace the RU offense.
• Evansville finished 2025 with a 6-22 (2-14 Missouri Valley) record after topping the 'Dons 3-2 in the opening weekend. Chloe Cline will be one of the Purple Aces' go-to hitting options after recording just under 2.00 kills per set in 2025.
