Men's Soccer Hosts Marquette on Saturday in Exhibition

FORT WAYNE, Ind. – Purdue Fort Wayne men's soccer will see the field for the first time in 2026 on Saturday (Aug. 8) when Marquette comes to Fort Wayne for an exhibition. The game will be free to fans and be played with a running clock.

Know Your Foe
Marquette was 7-7-2 (1-7-0 BIG EAST) last season. Head coach David Korn is in his third season leading the program. He was previously at NCAA Division II Maryville (Mo.) for eight years, winning three league tournament titles. Mads Konrad Horgøien had a team-best six goals last year. The sophomore had three game winning goals in his first season of collegiate soccer.

Series History
The Golden Eagles and Mastodons have three regular season meetings with Marquette leading 2-0-1. Marquette has wins in 1996 and 2023, with the two teams tying in 2024 in Milwaukee 0-0.

New Faces
Jordan Rodgers, Nico Mullen, Marko Martsinkovsky, Kellen Larson, Jonny Escobedo, Kevin Whitlow, Jozef Palushaj, Davan Arias, Max Aquino, Finn Railey, Ben Graham and David Valencia are new to the Mastodons in 2026.

Old Face in an Old Place
Aidan Antcliff is back in 2026. Antcliff was a Mastodon 2022-24 before transferring to play at Memphis in 2025. In 2023 he was named to the Horizon League All-Freshman Team. He has three goals and an assist in his Mastodon career.

Back in 2026
Sep Habibi, Max Titterington, Karsten Ternes, Ben Hissrich, Christian Agyekum, Jonny Hernandez, Jackson Liley, Ameer Shetiah, Antonio Tiscareno, Eason Haller, Trey Theard, Julian Zambrano, Tegan Gumbs and Brandon Razo are back for the Mastodons in 2026.

About Last Year
The Mastodons advanced to the Horizon League Championship match for the first time, falling at Cleveland State in extra time in the championship match.

2025 Honors
Shane Anderson (Horizon League Offensive Player of the Year and All-League First Team), Iann Topete (All-League First Team) and Andrew Hollenbach (All-League First Team) have graduated. Goalkeeper Sep Habibi (All-League Second Team) and midfielder Jonny Hernandez (All-League Third Team) are back in 2026.

Coming Up
The Mastodons travel to UIC on Tuesday (Aug. 11) for an exhibition contest against the former Horizon League member Flames.
