FORT WAYNE, Ind. – The Purdue Fort Wayne men's and women's soccer teams welcomed a record crowd of 1,229 fans to the Hefner Soccer Complex for the annual Party at the Pitch on Thursday (Sept. 3), setting a new home attendance record for the programs. The women opened the evening against Valparaiso before the men hosted Manchester.

Valparaiso 2, Purdue Fort Wayne 0

Audriana Rhyner recorded the Mastodons' first shot of the match in the ninth minute against the Beacons.

Amanda Leonard led Purdue Fort Wayne with two shots, including one on goal. Paige Radel, Cyann Retzloff, Mary McArdle and Madelyn Bravata also recorded shots for the Mastodons.

Valparaiso found the back of the net in the 37th and 67th minutes.

Purdue Fort Wayne falls to 0-4-1 on the season, while Valparaiso improves to 2-3-1.

The Mastodons travel to Illinois State for a 2 p.m. ET kickoff on Sunday (Sept. 6).

Purdue Fort Wayne 5, Manchester 0

Five different Mastodons found the back of the net as Purdue Fort Wayne earned its first win of the season over Manchester.

Brandon Razo opened the scoring in the sixth minute with his second consecutive goal. Jonny Hernandez followed 12 minutes later with his first collegiate goal, assisted by Christian Agyekum and Max Titterington. The assists marked the first of the season for both players. Jackson Liley added to the Mastodons' lead with a shot into the bottom-right corner of the net, sending Purdue Fort Wayne into halftime with a 3-0 advantage.

Eason Haller added his first collegiate goal in the 65th minute before Antonio Tiscareno found the back of the net just over two minutes later to make it 5-0. Daven Arias assisted on Tiscareno's goal, marking his first assist of the season.

The Mastodons held a 30-2 advantage in shots, including a 16-0 edge in shots on goal. Purdue Fort Wayne also held a 10-0 advantage in corner kicks.

Purdue Fort Wayne improves to 1-2-0 on the season, while Manchester falls to 1-1-0.

The Mastodons close out non-league play Wednesday (Sept. 9) against Defiance at the Hefner Soccer Complex.
