Blaine McFerrin
- Title:
- Assistant Coach
Blaine is entering his first year as an asssitant coach for the Mastodons. During his junior year, McFerrin led IPFW with a 3.29 ERA in the 1999-2000 season when IPFW set the school mark for conference victories in a season. Unfortunately, Blaine suffered a career ending arm injury late in the season. McFerrin highlighted the 99-00 season with a nine inning relief appearance against NKU surrendering no runs and only five hits. IPFW won the contest in 16 innings during a critical point in the season as the Mastodons were striving for a conference tournament birth. "Blaine was very effective for us, especially in relief. He was able to get us out of tough situations on a consistent basis which enabled us to have a quality season," said Coach Gernon. McFerrin will complete his masters degree in education administration in May of 2002.
